FLOW

It’s all about Flow…

Flow is the psychological term for being in the zone. It’s that mental state and feeling of almost losing touch with reality that you get when you are fully immersed in an activity. It brings energy, focus and joy.

I’ve been doodling my whole life and the older I got, the more I became aware of the tranquility I felt while creating. I studied Social Sciences to feed a curiosity I had about the human state and our connections. This combination of Social Sciences and Art awakened an urge in me to share my experience with others – and share some tools I discovered along my journey that really helped me through challenges… And so Flow was born.

Flow consists of different classes that can be taken individually or in a series. It is designed to accommodate adults of all walks of life and there is NO need for any prior art experience.

The Flow toolset are inspired by the the following principles and art forms: Mindfulness, Zentangle, Mandala, Neurographic Art, Modern Illustration Techniques and Hand Lettering, amongst others. It is fuelled by my love to doodle and fondness to work with line and colour.

The logo was inspired by the calmness you feel while sitting next to a pond and watching the fish moving graciously and following their own flow.

What Flow is NOT:

  • Complicated
  • Fine Art Classes
  • Realistic Drawing
  • A Substitute for Therapy or Meds
  • You won’t be asked to share anything personal in class

What it IS:

  • Creative Self Care
  • A Fun Way to Learn to Relax
  • A Technique you’ll be able to do on your own
  • A safe space to explore your creativity
  • A great tool for emotional hygiene
  • Wonderful stress relief
  • At flow classes you will be playing with lines and shapes
  • Achieve a sense of calm in your busy life
  • An excellent group activity for you and your friends
