Doodle Journals

Art Journaling for Non-Artists

I often encounter people who feel they are not artistic but have a need to express themselves creatively. In my life, art (specifically doodling) has really had a positive effect on my emotional well-being and has become part of my mental hygiene routine. I have a passion for sharing this self-care tool with people and that’s where my Flow classes started. I’m however not a natural teacher and presenting classes is not necessarily my strong point. Taking all this into account, I’ve decided to challenge my students, friends (and anyone that is interested) to doodle with me… For 30 days. Filling our sketchbooks with lines, patterns and shapes. These videos are intended to be prompts, but feel free to experiment and do your own thing. Completing a Doodle Journal is in itself an extremely satisfying thing and hopefully this will inspire you to become a serial doodler, like I am! Although I refer to this series as “Art Journaling for Non-Artists”, anyone is welcome to join, no matter your level of experience. Even serious artists have found doodling to be a helpful tool to help them experiment in a safe and fun way. Looking forward to see your doodles! #artjournalingfornonartists

I was a little under the weather when I did the Day 2 doodle and wasn’t happy with it’s outcome… I went back and played around with it and this is what happened…
